Bonded Diamond's story is anything but typical. In 2022, our founder, Jason—a Silicon Valley tech professional—set out to upgrade his wife's engagement ring in celebration of their 10th wedding anniversary. As he explored his options, he discovered a stark divide in the diamond market.

On one side were traditional natural diamonds, controlled by a handful of big-name retailers, often marked up by high prices and exclusivity. On the other, lab-grown diamonds—more affordable but mass-produced, lacking the uniqueness he sought. Neither option felt right. He wanted something personal, a symbol of their love that carried real significance.

Determined to find a better alternative, Jason got connected with a diamond manufacturer. Together, they tested and perfected a groundbreaking process: creating a one-of-a-kind lab-grown diamond from the carbon extracted from strands of hair of two people—a physical embodiment of their bond.
