Collect joint hair and return
Approx. 1 week
Use the kit’s tools and instructions to collect a small amount of hair (6g per carat). A prepaid label is included to return the sample.
Finalize your diamond and jewelry order
Couple of minutes
Use the included ring sizer and sample stones to finalize your order. The kit fee will be credited toward your purchase.
Diamond Growth
Approx. 1 month
We extract and purify carbon from the hair, then grow your diamond using a high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) process.
Polishing, Cutting, Engraving
Approx. 3 weeks
Once grown, your diamond is polished, cut to shape and size, and engraved with your custom message (if specified).
Certification and Control
Approx. 1 month
The diamond is certified by IGI and issued an authenticity certificate with a unique serial number.

Frequently Asked Questions
How a Bonded Diamond™ is made?
Each Bonded Diamond™ is made from the carbon extracted from your joint hair. To create a Bonded Diamond™, your hair is received, purified into graphite, and then placed under high pressure and temperature to form a rough diamond. The rough diamond is then polished, cut, and engraved to meet quality standards. Each Bonded Diamond™ receives an IGI certification and a Bonded Diamond™ certificate, verifying its authenticity and the process integrity.
Receiving Your Hair
We send you a hair collection kit with simple instructions. You’ll need to collect at least 6 grams of hair as the carbon source for your Bonded Diamond™.
Carbon Extraction and Purification
The hair is cleaned and charred through pyrolysis—a high-heat process that isolates carbon, resulting in a material with 60–90% amorphous carbon.
Refining to 99.9% Carbon
We further purify the carbon at high temperatures, transforming it into a graphite structure with approximately 99.9% purity.
Diamond Growth
The purified graphite is placed in a growth chamber under 5 GPa pressure and 2500°F heat, where it crystallizes into a rough diamond over several weeks.
Polishing, Cutting, Engraving
Once grown, your diamond is polished, cut to shape and size, and engraved with your custom message (if specified).
Certification
Your Bonded Diamond™ is certified by IGI and comes with a certificate of authenticity, verifying quality and the integrity of the process.
